Chancis Jones qualified to participate in the New Balance Nationals Indoor in New York City at the Armory on March 8-10,2013. The nation best from around the country are invited to this meet provided they meet the very high entry standards. Chancis met the entry standards in the long jump with a US# 49 rank jump of 18'03.00 and a US#29 rank triple jump of 38'02.75 over the indoor season.

Chancis Jones had an impressive day jumping at the elite UK High School Indoor Invitational at the University of Kentucky, drawing the attention of several college scouts. Her long jump of 18'03.00 was a season best and gave her a runner-up finish to the US#2 ranked jumper. The mark of 18'03.00 was also good for a US#37 ranked mark among the nation best high schoolers. She also placed fourth among some of the nation best triple jumper with another US#47 ranked mark of 37'06.50

Chancis Jones, McKenzie Ethridge and Allie Sharp competed in the KYA High School indoor Invitational at ETSU in Johnson City over the weekend. Chancis won the triple jump with a US#46 rank mark of 37'06.75 and took fourth place in the long jump at 17'01.25. McKenzie and Allie, both freshman, ran their first indoor meet and posted times of 8.23 in the 60m and 70.84 in the 400m respectively.

Seniors Chancis Jones and Jacob Noorbergen had strong showing in the Ed S. Temple Classic to start the Indoor Season on January 5, 2013 at Tennessee State University in Nashville. A college meet, Jacob was the heat winner in the 55m and 200m for an overall 22nd place in both event. Chancis jumped a PR in the triple jump at 38'02.75 for a 6th place finish and a US#13 ranking for high schoolers. Next up will be the KYA Indoor Classic at ETSU on February 18-19

Congratulation to Coach Donelle Dunning, 2012 USA Masters Indoor Track & Field Championship M35 60m champion and new record holder. In Bloomington, Indiana on March 16-18, Donelle set the new USA record with a time of 6.95 in the preliminary. He lowered his own record in the finals with a time of 6.93.

Daisha Callahan, Chancis Jones and Alexis Reviere are accepted into the prestigious UK High School Indoor Invitational to be held February 18th at the University of Kentucky. Daisha, a senior will be making her third appearance in the 60m dash. Chancis, a junior and Alexis, a freshman will be making their first appearance. Chancis will compete in the long and triple jumps. Alexis will compete in the 800m.

10 athletes and 2 relays teams finish in the top 25 during the 2011 AAU Junior Olympic Games in New Orleans on Aug 1-6. Laquisha Jackson finish her usual place on the medal stand with a runner-up in the Young Women 100m. The most impressive finish was Deyonna Lansden moving up 50 spots in the ranking in the Sub-Bantam girls Long jump. She came in ranked #69 and moved to # 19th by improving her jump by 1 ft. Also Jadyn White improved in the Primary Girls Shot Put by 2 ft. moving from 33rd rank to 15th.

40 athletes qualified in 45 events for the 2011 AAU Junior Olympic Games to be held Aug 1-6 in New Orleans, La. Of those 45 events, 23 were running events, 16 field events and 6 relays.

Amber Dandy signed a scholarship to attend Middle Tennessee State University. She was a two time State Champion in the long as well as being ranked #4 in the country. Her personal best was 20'00.25

Kelli Smith finished her freshman year as UAB Outdoor & Indoor top performer in the long jump. Her mark was 19'05.00 (Indoor) and 19'05.50 (Outdoor).

Kelli Smith of UAB once again qualified to the final in the long jump. This time it was the Conference USA Outdoor Championship where she finished seventh with a leap of 5.93 (19'05.50). She was the only freshman to advance to the finals.

Kelli Smith of UAB set a new meet record in the long jump at the Southern Invitational hosted by Birmingham Southern College on March 11-12, 2011. Her mark was 18'02.25 (5.54)

The Chattanooga Jets competed in the AAU Southern Indoor National Championship over the weekend at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. All sixteen (16) athletes earned at least one medal for a team total of 39 medals won. There were also seven (7) new club indoor records broken.

Kelli Smith, a UAB freshman and Jasmine Scott ,a junior at ETSU were finalist in their respective events at their conference indoor championship. Kelli placed 8th in the long jump at the Conference USA Indoor Championship with a mark of 18'06.50. She was the only freshman to make the finals. Jasmine ran a qualifying preliminary time of 58.29 in the 400m to finish 7th in the finals at 58.80 in the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championship

Amber Dandy, Joshua Robinson and Daisha Callahan have strong showing at the UK High School Indoor Invitational with two Dyestat Indoor National Elite marks and all three athletes improved their indoor personal records (PR,s)
Amber finished second in the long for the second year in a row with a US#12 jump of 18'10.50 which rank her at US#4 among high school seniors. There was suspense as Amber was leading with the meet record breaking jump only to have it topped on the last jump by another athlete.
Joshua posted a US#21 time in the 60MH with 8.21 which rank him at US#4 among high school seniors. He knocked 0.55 off his last year time of 8.76. His performance gave him a 5th place finish after not making the finals a year ago.
Daisha set personal records in the 60m and 200m from last year. She ran 8.25 in the 60m and 27.38 in the 200m. Improvement from last year include a 0.11 (8.36) and 1.41 (28.79)

Elite athletes Sureatha McClain and Adrian Bentley have strong showing in their first meet of the indoor season. They posted three first place finishes at the Tiger Indoor Invitational held at Sewanee University on February 5, 2011. McClain placed first in the 55m and 200m at 7.25 and 26.33. Bentley won the 55m at 6.53 and placed second in the 200m at 23.54.

2011 USA vs. Japan vs, Germany - Friendship Competition
Amber Dandy of Red Bank High School and the Chattanooga Jets Track Club will be representing the United States in the 2011 USA vs. Japan vs. Germany - Friendship Competition Track & Field meet to be held February 5, 2011 in Osaka, Japan. She will leave for Osaka on February 1st for a week long of training, competition and cultural tours.
The USA delegation will consist of six male athletes and six female athletes chosen from a pool of top high school seniors in the United States by the USATF. Japan Association of Athletics Federation (JAAF) is the organizer and host of the meet.
Amber is the 2010 State Long Jump Champion and is ranked #4 in the United States with a mark of 20'00.25.

Laquisha Jackson is a leading candidate to represent the USA at the 2011 World Youth Championship in Lille, France on July 6-10 for athletes born in 1994 or 1995. She have a #2 ranking in the 100m and a #4 rank in the 200m. The trials will be held June 28-29 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Laquisha Jackson and Amber Dandy are ranked nationally according to ESPN RISE/Dyestat 2011 Top Returning Sprinters and Jumpers. Laquisha recieved a US#4 rank in the 100m with a time of 11.46 and a US#9 in the 200m at 23.74. Amber recieved a US#4 rank in the long jump with a mark of 20'00.25

Kelli Smith of UAB and Jasmine Scott of Austin Peay have a strong showing in the Saluki Open hosted by Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. Smith placed second in the long jump with a mark of 18'10.00 and Jasmine placed ninth in the 400m at 1:00.09

Kelli Smith, a University Of Alabama-Birmingham freshman performs well in the MTSU Chistmas Invitational. Her first meet of her collegiate career she placed fourth in the long jump with a personal best of 19'05.00. She followed up with a fourth place finish in the high jump at 5'02 and a seventh place in the 55m dash at 7.39
